Submit a funding request 

Important: D. Scott Ventures is temporarily NOT accepting any funding requests. Though we would like to fund every company we come into contact with we simply only have so many resources and our portfolio is full at the moment. Check back every 30-60 days for an updated status.  

 

Before you submit a funding request, we ask that you take a moment to review briefly our funding process.

  1. First Contact us, submit your business plan by this website or email to Dylan@dscottventures.com, Note that we receive dozens of plans daily, though we would like to get back to each one it is extremely inefficient to do so, however we do read each one thoroughly, if your plan sparks interest or fits our current funding style we will contact you within 48-72 hours.
  2. Assuming your business is a fit for our investment criteria, we will set up a time for an initial phone call.
  3. On this call you should be prepared to tell us about your business, what you do? Why is your product or service valuable? Who is involved in the management team? What is the market like? , who is the competition and why do you stand out?, and how much funding are you looking at… what are you willing to offer the investors.
  4. After this interview your information will be presented to our investment group for review where we will vote on it, this takes typically 5 business days , as we meet once a week. From here we will contact you and let you know either yes or no, if yes we will then set up a time to meet with you and your whole team. At this point we encourage you to do your due diligence on us as well, it’s important we trust each other. In the mean time we may have a few more questions to ask you while we do our research.
  5. After meeting with your whole team we will then go back and do some “deep research” on your product or service and probably set up a time to see your business in action or the systems you have in place. At this point we will take one last final vote as an investment group and let you know within 48/72 hours if we are going to fund your business.
  6. If we decide to invest we will draw up final agreements for consideration from both parties, once mutually satisfied we begin to move your business forward along side of you (The part we enjoy the most!)
  7. Though each business is case by case the general funding process can take 3-4 weeks, depending on the research involved it could take 90 days and in some cases 6 months to 1 year, however this is rare.
